WHAT IS LIFE?

What is life for you? Life for some people is a game that they play and try to make it to the next level.  Life in my eyes is Goliath and I’m King David.  I have chosen to take on life and beat it with the force of God.  Most people take the trials and tribulations that throw at you as if God has abandoned you.  But if you do like I do and pray to the good lord above, you will beat life even at its best tricks.
 I’ve found that God is the way, the truth and the light to what we do and what we are. Why don’t us as men and women pray to our lord and savior Jesus Christ we will be ok?  God have told us that if we confess with our mouth and believe with our heart we will be saved.  So with saying that, God can save us from this hard life if we believe.  It’s only a test that we are being put through.  This test is to measure the amount of integrity, pride, and discipline.  What I ask from you is to have a lot of integrity and discipline because too much pride can be a sin.  The reason I say that is because we as humans have been to work off pride and to be prideful about what we do.  But I’ve found that the people have had too much pride to say that I believe in Jesus.  God will relive those stresses that we have and those problem that we believe are big.  Those problems are very small compare to the God we serve.  I have family that although they are having problems in life they are small because the believe that God is the one that is going to take care of you and your situation.  My big momma you to watch this pastor on tv every day that always said to  “walk by faith and not by sight”.    I believe as long as you have faith life will be so much better and easier.

KEEP THE FAITH.
Yours truly

What Makes a Man?

I have asked myself this question many times in my life, and I believe I too often rely on the assumption of, to answer this. What makes a man, other than the obvious physical aspects of course has changed, yet too often we refer back to the traditional mindset. While some aspects have lasted through time and continue on to this day other parts need to be re-examined, questioned, and even possibly done away with. In the same aspect i must really question if I myself live up to these expectations.
Many cultures have traditions in which young boys must pass certain tests in order to enter manhood. Some of these most extreme tests you can find examples of on the Travel Channel, Discovery, or National Geographic.

I believe Respect, Humility, morality, ethics and responsibility makes a man.

Respect is what makes a man, respect for oneself, your family, and women. I know that we live in modern times with modern women and that not every woman is a good woman but the point still stands. I was raised to treat women and elders with respect, yet we seem to be living in a time where the exact opposite of this has become mainstream pop culture. Respect for ladies should not just stop at your mother and sisters, but treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve. Even if you don’t agree with this idea, we live in a society that if you can’t follow this, you end up looking shameful not her.

Humility, everyone likes a man with confidence but there is a difference between having confidence and being arrogant. Proverbs 29:23 states
a man's pride brings him low, but a man of lowly spirit gains honor. Only in our own humility are we able to be sympathetic to others and see them at the very least as equals. I have had a very good life so far, but in the same sense I have come from a  humble beginnings, my mother  had to work for things in life, not everything was a given. At the same time there are always those who have it worse, and understanding this concept will allow you to be a man and reach back to help those in need.

Morality and ethics, without them I believe you fail as a man, but more so than that it is having virtue. I think you should let your morals guide you other than your emotions or desires. I believe this to be the most challenging but it is also one of the most defining characteristics and often the most noted upon. Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak

Responsibility, any boy can create a child but it takes a man to be there for his family. I was raised to be a responsible man.  The famous rapper Tupac was one of the most poetic people I’ve ever heard.  He talked about how men should be men and stand up for what is right and be productive people, so that our kids can be good productive children.  Although Tupac had some lyrics that was great in my sight and did not hold up to what should be said, it’s entertainment can’t really blame him for trying to feed his family.
Friends are people you can call on when things are down and when things are great. I don’t try to be everyone’s best friend and I realize that not everyone will like me no matter how much I try. What matters to me, at the end of the day is that when all is said and done, even if they don’t like me they can depend on me. That they know if they called me that I would be there for them. Now I am not in the business of trying to be used, but if I were truly needed I would be there for them.

I believe those things makes a man. A man faces his problems and deals with issues straightforward that are why so often it is referred to as “to man up.” No one is perfect and I can admit where I have stumbled and in some cases fallen, but as long as you continue to strive for what is right that’s all really matters in the end. I believe the difference between men and boys are the lessons they learn.

James 1:12-13
blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
